Braham Volleyball
The Braham girls volleyball has hit a rough patch. On Sept. 22, the girls took part in the Class A Showcase in Burnsville where they lost three straight games.
The girls got a crack at few new teams. Up first was Stephen-Argyle Central of Section 8A. Central came in on top of their game, and made short work of the Bombers. The girls fell in back-to-back sets; 25-10 and 25-18.
The next challenge came from Tracy-Milroy-Balaton of Section 3A. Again, their opponent was too much to handle as the girls dropped two straight sets; 25-13 and 25-7.
The third game of the day came against Windom Area High School, another school from Section 3A. The girls once again failed to get anything going, and Windom dispatched the Bombers; 25-19 and 25-13.
Up next for the Bombers will be a Great River matchup on Sept. 28 when they host Ogilvie.

Boys Soccer
The Cambridge-Isanti boys soccer team has dropped two straight games and extend their losing streak to four.
On Sept. 21, the boys traveled to Buffalo for a Mississippi 8 showdown. While the back line did a solid job limiting Buffalo, the offense could not follow suit.
Only one goal snuck past sophomore Tahtan Kassa; unfortunately it was one goal too many. The boys failed to find the back of the net and lost 1-0 in a close game.
On Sept. 25, the boys hosted Chisago Lakes for some more M8 soccer. The boys found the net in the first half, but also allowed three goals.
They were unable to make up the ground, as the Wildcats added two more in the second half. The Bluejackets fell once again, 5-1.
Up next, the boys will travel to North Branch on Sept. 28. This could be a prime situation for the boys to bounce back as North Branch is also struggling this season at 2-8.

Girls Soccer
The Cambridge-Isanti girls soccer team cannot seem to find any luck, as they extend their losing streak to five games after losses to Buffalo and Chisago Lakes.
On Sept. 21, the girls hosted Buffalo for a Mississippi 8 matchup. The girls struck first as Haley Karels found the net for a team leading sixth time this season.
After that, it was downhill for the Bluejackets, who surrendered three goals in the first half. The second half remained relatively uneventful, as Buffalo added one more goal, sticking the Bluejackets with the 4-1 loss.
On Sept. 25, the girls traveled to Chisago Lakes for some more M8 soccer. The game remained scoreless through the first half and then the Wildcats broke loose.
They scored four goals on the visiting Bluejackets, who were sent packing after the 4-0 loss.
Up next for the girls will be another M8 matchup when they host North Branch on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.

Girls Swim and Dive
The Cambridge-Isanti girls swim and dive team have been off to a great start in conference meets.
After taking their first Mississippi 8 meet against Chisago Lakes, the girls set their sights on Princeton. The Bluejackets hosted the Tigers on Sept. 21. The girls great season has been fueled by seniors Sadie Baxter, Hanna Beaufeaux, junior Kaia Kirkeidi and sophomores Kendra Fanth and Abby Foss.
The girls were hitting their marks against the Tigers and were able to outscore their rival 98-83. This win brings them to 2-1 in the conference and keeps them in first-place.
