
Elizabeth “Beth” Harvey, age 50, Superior, WI resident, died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Superior Rehab and Nursing Center in Superior following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on November 2, 1966 in Superior, WI to Thomas and Judy (Soyring) Hilger.
Beth graduated from Superior Senior High School and from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1998 where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. She was employed as the program manager at U.D.A.C. She devoted her life to social work in the state of Minnesota, and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Beth was a member of First Baptist Church in Cambridge, MN.
She was a wonderful gardener and musician and loved animals. In high school and college Beth excelled as a multi-sport athlete.
Beth is survived by three daughters, Shea, Saija and Sofia Harvey, all of Cambridge, MN; her father, Thomas Hilger; former husband and father of her children, Charles “Chuck” Harvey; one brother, Robert Hilger of Robinsdale, MN and one sister, Linda Hilger of Brule, WI.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Judy.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff at Superior Rehab and Nursing Center and St. Luke’s Hospice in Duluth for the wonderful care Beth received throughout her illness.
Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 304 Main Street South, Cambridge, MN and continue until the 1 p.m. memorial service.
