Thanksgiving Dinner at Cambridge Lutheran
Thursday, Nov. 24: Cambridge Lutheran Church is hosting its annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner. It is open to anyone who doesn’t have a place to go. Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with take out dinners available from 10:30 a.m. to noon. There is no cost for the dinner, but free will-offerings will be accepted.
Breakfast with Santa
Saturday, Nov. 26: Helios Masonic Lodge, 343 Second Ave. SW, Cambridge, is hosting a “Breakfast with Santa” from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost is $6, includes breakfast and a photo with Santa.
Santa is coming to Cambridge Theatre
Saturday, Nov. 26: Santa is coming to the Cambridge Movie Theatre for the showing of “Moana.” Cost is $5 for movie and picture with Santa. Cost is $7 for movie, picture with Santa and pop and popcorn. Doors open at 9 a.m. Move starts at 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Kids under 2 are free.
Braham United Against Drugs
Tuesday, Nov. 29: At 7 p.m. at the Braham Event Center, the East Central Minnesota Drug Task Force-Isanti County Sheriff, Braham concerned citizens, Braham Police and Braham area churches present, “an evening to discuss solutions to the growing epidemic of drug dealing and selling in Braham and the surrounding community.”
Li’l Farm Children’s Home Holiday Sale
Dec. 2 & Dec. 3: Li’l Farm Children’s Home holiday big sale is on Friday, Dec. 2 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. until noon at Christ the King Parish Hall, 315 N. Fern St., Cambridge. This amazing sale is always an excellent shopping experience.
21st Annual Live Nativity
Saturday, Dec. 3: The 21st Annual Live Nativity, with live animals, will be held from 4-7:30 p.m. at Long Lake Lutheran Church, 3921 277th Ave. NW, Isanti. Soup and Chili supper served. Grandma’s Attic open for holiday shopping.
Lake Wobegon Brass Band Concert
Saturday, Dec. 3: Lake Wobegon Brass Band will perform at the Hardy Performing Arts Center at Cambridge-Isanti High School at 7 p.m. The band is a 29 piece, British Brass Band ensemble with a rich, dark, and mellow tone quality to the songs they play. Tim Hadler and Catrina Campbell in Concert
Sunday, Dec. 4: Tim Hadler and Catrina Campbell will perform a benefit concert for GUMI Camp USA from 2-5 p.m. at the Braham Event Center. GUMI Camp USA is a healing retreat for American veterans. Free-will donation only. There will be food to purchase and a silent auction to benefit GUMI Camp. Hadler and Campbell have been seen on RFD TV, Grand Ole Opry, Branson, Missouri and KBEK.
Community Service of Remembrance
Sunday, Dec. 4: Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home of Cambridge will host its 18th Annual “Service of Remembrance” at 7 p.m. at Cambridge Lutheran Church. All members of the community who have had a loss of a loved one are invited to join in a candle lighting ceremony. Guests will hear a message of hope and healing from Father Don Wagner along with musical performers Denise Tillges and Denise Osterman. Christmas for Kids
Saturday, Dec. 10: Christmas for Kids will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, which is 1 mile east of Cambridge on Highway 95. Registration for ages 3-10 begins at 8:45 a.m., and the event lasts until noon. The children will learn the story of Jesus’ birth, sing songs, decorate cookies and make fun crafts. Braham Santa Day
Saturday, Dec. 10: Braham’s White Christmas and Santa Day event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Braham Event Center featuring a Dad’s Belgian Waffle Brunch from 9 a.m. until noon (adults $8; children 6-12 $6; and under 5 free with adult purchase), Santa’s Gift Shoppe for affordable gift giving, an Elves’ Workshop with children’s activities, photos with Santa, a Mrs. Claus Bake Sale with holiday treats, holiday music, decorated Christmas trees for sale and a living manger scene. The Royal Neighbors will match up to $1,000 from the waffle brunch. All proceeds will go to the Braham Event Center.
Alzheimer’s Support Group
Tuesday, Dec. 20: The Alzheimer’s Support Group meets the third Tuesday of each month from 10-11:30 a.m. The group is now meeting at Mill Ridge Terrace, 235 Fern St. N. Cambridge. Memorial Blood Centers Blood Drive
Thursday, Dec. 22: Memorial Blood Centers will hold a Blood Drive from noon to 6 p.m. at the Isanti Community Center, 121 Norelius St. Those who donate from Dec. 20 through Jan. 3 will also receive a free long-sleeve shirt as an extra thank you.
