
H. Delbert Lindquist, 99, of Cambridge, passed away on Sept. 17, 2016 in Cambridge, MN.
Delbert was born in Mora, MN to Albin and Mabel (Nelson) Lindquist, the oldest of 7 children. He was married to Eleanor Reichel April 14, 1940. He was a heavy equipment owner and operator, having partnerships with Lindquist & Olson Construction and also Lindquist & Leaf Construction. He worked on the Alcon Highway in Alaska, he cleared for many dams in western states and built roads all over Minnesota, he dug many basements in Isanti county and the surrounding areas. He was a hardworking man who valued his family and taught each of us to work hard for what you want. He enjoyed dancing, (waltz and polkas were his favorites), playing pool, golfing, watching the twins, watching old westerns and travel. He was a veteran serving in Japan during World War II.
Delbert was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor; his parents; his sisters, Marion Anderson, Irene Poss and Eleanor Anderson; his brother Donald Lindquist; his in-laws, Walter and Violet Reichel, Robert and Beverly Reichel, Dorothy and Lester Norman, Donald King, Lorraine Reichel, Donna Lindquist, Richard Johnson, Roy Anderson, Eugene “Andy” Anderson.
Delbert is survived by his wife Joyce, two children, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother, one sister, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, and many other family and friends.
Pallbearers: Doug Hanson, Jason Lindquist, Anthony Oliver, John Houliston, Donald Leaf, Mark Leaf.

Funeral arrangements: Friday, Sept. 23rd, visitation 3 p.m. Cambridge Lutheran Church, 4 p.m. service, burial and luncheon to follow.
