North Country Hillbillys to host 8th annual Car & Truck Show in Braham Sept. 7

The North Country Hillbillys (NCH) car club will host its 8th annual car and truck show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Braham Covenant Church in Braham.

The show is open to all makes and models, rust or shine, with the first 50 entrants receiving a custom dash plaque and goodie bag. Entry is free but they encourage a non-perishable food item donation that will go to the local food shelf.

Events throughout the day include door prize drawings, valve cover racing (think pinewood derby but with valve covers), a slow race, and a muffler rap contest. There will also be a Lil’billys kids tent to keep the little motor heads occupied with various activities. Food and drink will be available on site as well as live music.

The North Country Hillbillys are a Christian oriented car club that was formed in 2006.

“We strive to host a family friendly car show that welcomes all car and truck enthusiasts,” said co-founder, Les Orvis. “All proceeds from the sales of the NCH vinyl graphics, hats, t-shirts, etc. are donated to Braham Fest.”

Braham Fest is a day filled with gospel and bluegrass music, food, and fun. For more information about the North Country Hillbillys, visit www.thench.com or call Les Orvis at 320-492-4579 or Mike Mason at 612-221-4249.
