Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational series designed to provide you with the tools you need to take of yourself.
This program will help family caregivers reduce stress, improve self confidence, communicate feelings better, balance their lives, increase their ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources.
Classes consist of six, 2.5 hour sessions held once a week. Class leaders are Collette Colluci, Family Pathways Senior Services Coordinator, and Jayne Mund, East Central Senior Resource Center Caregiver Consultant. Interactive lessons, discussions and brainstorming will help you take the “tools” you choose and put them into action for your life.
You will receive a book, “The Caregiver Helpbook,” developed specifically for the class. Work books are optional and available for $30. The classes are free, thanks to support from East Terrace Cooperative who is hosting the workshop.
Classes will be held at East Terrace Cooperative in Cambridge from 1-3:30 p.m. Sessions are held every Tuesday and begin Sept. 10 through Oct. 15. For more information or to register, contact Jayne Mund at 763-552-3255.
Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Due to the nature of the workshop, they cannot accept walk-ins.
