Clement ‘Clem’ Joseph Stine, 92, of Isanti and formerly Isle, passed away at Cambridge Medical Center Friday, August 16, 2013 after a life filled with endless happiness and laughter.
Clem, the second of three sons, was born in Rutledge, Minn. Sept. 21, 1920 to the late Michael ‘Mike’ and Mary (Cich) Stine. Clem wed Muriel A. Kane, devoted, loving wife of 65 years, Sept. 27, 1947 in Minneapolis. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater and was a member of the Isanti VFW Post 2735. Clem retired as an electrician from IBEW Local 292.
Clem was the man everyone turned to admire when he walked into a room. Not only sharp dressed and humorous, he had charisma larger than life. People were drawn to him because he was just that special sort of man. Aside for the great love he shared for his family and friends, Clem relished a good waltz and eighteen holes on the golf course. Clem knew no strangers and was never one to sit still. He appreciated stain glass, gardening, volunteerism within the parish, and numerous other hobbies to keep him busy. An extraordinary inspiration beyond comprehension, Clem was an example of love, selflessness, simplicity, and extraordinary faith. He leaves many loving memories to be cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Mary; two brothers, Stanley (Alta) and Rodney (Charlotte); and son in-law, Michael ‘Mike’ Wakeling. 
Survived by his beloved wife Muriel; six children, Clement ‘Chum’ Stine, Jr., Roberta ‘Bertie’ Wakeling, Peggy Hanson, Michael Stine, Greg (Sharon) Stine, Jeff (Lynn) Stine; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and longtime friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti. A visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Monday, Aug. 26 at 1:30 p.m. Assembly Area #5. Arrangements were with Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel.
