Series offered on ‘Basics of Writing a Novel’

Northern Lights Writers will present a three-part series on the “Basics of Writing a Novel.”

Feb. 20: Great Beginnings.

April 16: Sagging Middles.

June 18: Ending Your Book on a High Note.

February Program – What is the dynamic that creates a great beginning to your story? What grabs the reader and draws him in, convincing him to keep turning the pages? Join us for an interactive discussion on how to capture the reader’s interest with a compelling opening.

The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 20, at Giese Memorial Library, 26855 Forest Blvd., Wyoming (I-35, 3-4 miles north of Forest Lake).

8:30 a.m.: Pre-meeting breakfast (for those who want to meet other writers and share lively writing-related chat) at the Village Inn, I-35 and East Viking Boulevard, Wyoming.

Northern Lights Writers, Chapter No. 199 of Romance Writers of America, originated in 2002 and is a group of dedicated newcomers as well as multi-published members in various genres who provide mentoring and industry updates. Must be 18 or older to attend.
