Minneapolis North’s team speed was too much for Braham football to handle when the Polars racked up a 61-30 win in the Class A semifinals at St. Cloud State the evening of Nov. 7. The Polars owned a 42-8 lead at the half, led by quarterback and kick returner Tyler Johnson who rushed for 222 yards from scrimmage and had a punt return for a touchdown.

Braham’s first touchdown had them leading 8-6 when Ryan Riesing hauled in a 52-yard reception from John Larson. Larson finished with 343 passing yards, adding TD throws to Ryan Larson and Jacob Lindgren. Ryan Larson also had an 80-yard kickoff return off a reverse for the Bombers who close the 2015 season with an 11-1 record.

North will take on defending “A” champ Minneota in the Nov. 14 title game, 10 a.m. at TCF Bank Stadium on the U of M campus. Minneota eliminated Goodhue 27-19 in the other State semifinals on Saturday.
