COMMUNITY SPORTS: The Jacket Hoop Boosters will hold boys travel basketball team tryouts on Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Cambridge-Isanti High School gym. This winter, there will be teams in every grade level from 4th to 8th grade. Ribbon Ride & Run at Outdoor Edge
The annual Ribbon Ride & Run to support local cancer patients will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, starting at the Outdoor Edge in Cambridge at 9 a.m. Bicycle ride routes of 25 and 10 miles will be set up, along with a 5K run/walk. Finish line is at the Cambridge Medical Center which will be hosting its Health Expo that day. Total Wellness Fitness is also an event coordinator. Entry fees are $25 pre-registration and $30 day of event. Register online at www.active.com. All proceeds go to people healing from cancer who need help with daily living expenses.
4th Annual Bluejacket 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk
Registration is open for the 4th Annual Bluejacket 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk which will be hosted Saturday, Sept. 26, starting at the Isanti Intermediate School and School for All Seasons. Entry fees are $15 for the 5K and $10 for the one-mile run/walk. Race proceed profits will be put into a scholarship fund for future IIS/SFAS grads.
