Fall Festival at Irving and John Anderson County Park

Everybody is welcome to attend the 6th-annual Fall Festival at Irving & John Anderson County Park from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.

Kids’ games, face painting, hay rides, as well as a guided wetland walk begin at 9:30 a.m. at the group picnic shelter.  A second guided wetland walk along with a Butterfly Garden Tour follows at 10:15 a.m. Members of the Isanti County Environmental Coalition will be presenting the Year of the Monarch Program, sure to be entertaining for the whole family, starting at 11 a.m. Free apple crisp and ice cream along with live music will close out the festival from noon to 12:30 p.m.

Irving & John Anderson County Park is located in Oxford Township on both sides of County Road 18, a quarter mile north of County Road 9 and two miles south of County Road 5. It is one of six parks in the Isanti County Parks system that totals 775 acres.

The annual Fall Festival is sponsored by the Friends of Anderson Park whose mission is to preserve the natural beauty and primitive nature of the park and to assist Isanti County with its planning, development and maintenance of facilities.
