Glenys   M.  Lindstrom

Glenys (Colin) Lindstrom, 99 of Cambridge, MN passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 9, 2014 in Superior, WI of natural causes.
Born August 24, 1915 in St. Paul, MN.
She was preceded in death by husband Wallace Lindstrom, parents Eric and Emma Colin, sisters Evelyn Sellon and Verna Bright, brothers Donald and Wallace, brothers-in-law Clarence Sellon, Donald Bright, Jacque Ziebel and grandson Ryan Hoff.
Survived by her children, David (Karen), LuAnn (Larry) Hoff and James (Susan); sister Connie Ziebel; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
Glenys graduated as Salutatorian from Nora Springs, Iowa, High School. She married Wallace at Rush Point, Stanchfield, MN, and they spent most of their 40 plus years together in Rush City where Glenys worked at Rush City School and local businesses. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Rush City and Calvary Lutheran Church. She was a vocal soloist, and a member of many community and church organizations. After Wally retired from Land o Lakes, they moved to Cambridge and enjoyed traveling and winters in Arizona.
Glenys was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star of Rush City. She enjoyed gardening and baking and was a long time award winner of blue ribbons for flower arrangements and baked goods at county fairs. She was skilled at needlepoint, beadwork and was an avid reader, talented writer and penned psalms and poems for church, family and friends. She had a knack for arriving at just the right time to cheer friends, neighbors or family with her baked delicacies and was a fierce Dominoes player. She will be remembered for her strong faith, dedication to and love of family and friends, and of course her annual bread and Christmas cookie baking.
Visitation held at 10 a.m. and Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014, Calvary Lutheran Church, Stanchfield, MN.
