
Douglas E. Anderson, age 82, of North Richland Hills, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 17, 2017.
Douglas was born in Blomford, Minnesota and grew up in Spring Lake. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1954 and was captain of the football team. After high school, Douglas enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. During his time in the Air Force, Douglas was stationed in Arizona, California, Spain and Nebraska. He served his country with distinction during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Air Force, Douglas went to work with the United States Postal Service until his retirement after 20 more years of service.
He was a member of North Richland Hills Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ephraim and Alice Anderson; wife, Helen; and two sisters, Eldora Nelson and Laural Berg.
Douglas is survived by his wife of 20 years, Darlene Anderson; children, Kevin D. Anderson and wife Leta, Brenda Crosby and husband Jim, Patrick Anderson and wife Lulanne, and Patty Dingler and husband Donnie; grandchildren, Jamie Brinkerhoff and husband Daniel, Jessica Stein and husband Tyler, Jordan Crosby, James Govea, Ashbe Acosta, Patrick L. and Peyton Anderson, D’anna Newton and husband Jordan, Devon Dingler, and Dustin Dingler; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Hanson and Virginia Semelis.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2017 at North Isanti Baptist Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Cambridge American Legion.
