Parents and grandparents looking for a unique summer program, West Riverside Museum School has openings for July 3-7 for their Old Time School. No school on July 4.
West River School is located 1 mile north on County Road 14, north of Highway 95, just west of Cambridge. Students, in grades 1-8 and over the age of 6, dress in “Little House on the Prairie” type clothing. The school is kept at turn of the century time period with desks, ink pens and books the students explore through out the week.

This year the themes are Civil War and birds. They start the day with the flag pledge outside, ringing the school bell, show and tell, an old fashioned packed lunch, reading, writing, arithmetic, history and science, crafts and music to have a packed day from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 7, is the day for plays, poems, talents and a family picnic.
Cost for this program is $65 for Isanti County Historical Society members or $75 for non-members.
