Duane “Red” Anderson

Duane “Red” Anderson, age 79, of Cambridge died April 27, 2017 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East.
Duane “Red” Anderson was born January 30, 1938 to Helmer and Margret Anderson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attended Patrick Henry High School. Red met Demay Johnson and they were married April 30, 1960 and had three children, Robin, Mike and Patrick. They lived in Blaine, Isanti and Cambridge. Red was a SuperValu truck driver for most of his life. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening, especially growing cherry tomatoes. Red loved spending time with his grandkids and playing cards with his buddies.
Red is survived by his daughter, Robin (Jim) Watson of Stanchfield; son, Patrick (Imogene) Anderson of Isanti; grandchildren, Joshua, Holly, Jeff, Baylye, Logan, Lucus and Taylor and by many other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Demay, and his son, Mike.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 1st at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel. Interment was in Cambridge Union Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at StrikeFuneral.com.
