Homeward Bound Theatre Company to offer performing arts classes, Saturdays, April 1 through April 22 at Cambridge-Isanti High School in Cambridge.
“Magic Storytelling” is from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. where kindergarten- through second-graders will enhance their favorite tales with rib tickling humor, balloon sculpturing, as well as slap stick comedy illusions. Satisfaction guaranteed or all laughter returned. Students will learn magic tricks and act out stories with improvisation as they perform for their friends and family.
“Magic Juggling Balloons” from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will find third- through sixth-graders having a hands on experience with magic, juggling, balloon sculpting and slap-stick comedy illusion.
Magic: Amaze your family and friends when you share with them illusionary tricks with cards, coins, and the vanishing and reappearing of any small object.
Juggling: Come discover the secrets of multi-object manipulation in this beginning juggling class. Throw things. Catch things. Learn to manipulate objects in the air, on the body and on the ground. Students will discover the right-brain, left-brain shift that occurs when practicing juggling one, two, three or more objects.
Balloon Sculpting: Learn how to twist and turn balloons into hats, animals and other works of art. By taking this class, you are also developing life skills that will benefit you forever. Learning and performing will not only build confidence and self-esteem, but will also help your ability to speak in front of a large audience. Satisfaction guaranteed or all laughter returned.
