A Ham Lake man has died following a head-on crash Oct. 21 just south of County Road 6 near Grandy on Highway 65.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1998 Chevy Corvette, driven by Blake W. Hinton, 57, of Ham Lake, was heading northbound on Highway 65, near 361st Avenue Northeast, when his vehicle drifted into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a semi truck. Hinton was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi truck, John D. Grahm, 37, of Braham, was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident was reported around 9:33 a.m. and road conditions were reported dry at the time. Assisting the State Patrol at the scene were the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, Cambridge Police Department and the Isanti Police Department.
