Cambridge Farmers Market

Saturdays: Cambridge Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the City Center Market parking lot. Vegetables and fruit are now coming in.

Isanti County 4-H Pie Shoppe

July 20-24: New this year during the Isanti County Fair will be the “4-H Pie Shoppe.” The Pie Shoppe will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. With a special pie of the day, proceeds go to fund 4-H youth scholarships. Come support the 4-H Pie Shoppe.

Life Drawing Session

Friday, July 22: Attention artists. Life Drawing (with a live model) is back at Cambridge Center for the Arts, 140 Buchanan St. N., inside City Center Mall, from 9 a.m. to noon. Don’t miss this chance to tune up your drawing skills and enjoy a relaxed environment with other artists. There is no instruction. $10 CCFA Member,  $12 Non-Member. Fees pay the model. Free Movie at Braham Event Center

Sunday, July 24: All are invited to a free movie at the Braham Event Center at 2 p.m. The movie is “Return to Snowy River.” Volunteer Event Center Staff will have snacks available for purchase.

Friends of the Library Annual Meeting

Tuesday, July 26: All are invited to the Friends of the Library annual meeting from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Cambridge Public Library, 244 South Birch St. Get the latest update on the new library. Cambridge City Administrator Lynda Woulfe will speak on the latest plans, local option sales tax referendum and timeline for a new library. ECRL Director Barbara Misselt will speak on visions for the new library and what will a new library mean for the community. Everyone is welcome. Find out how you can help.

Open Studio

Wednesday, July 27: Join fellow artists in a non-competitive, relaxed atmosphere to work on your own art with your own supplies from 9 a.m. to noon. No instruction. All mediums are welcome. If using oils, use odorless turpentine and bring a table cover. Snacks are welcome. This is a great way to meet other artists. No registration necessary. No charge. Senior Dance in Braham

Wednesday, July 27: All are welcome to join for a Senior Dance from 1-4 p.m. at the Braham Event Center.

Writers Group

Fish Fry

Saturday, July 30: An All You Can Eat Fish Fry will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at Helio’s Masonic Lodge No. 273, 343 Second Ave. SW, Cambridge. Cost is $10. All welcome.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly

Saturday, July 30: An informational TOPS meeting (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in East Bethel. A new chapter will be created if there are four interested people. It is free to attend this meeting. Coffee will be served. Men, women and children 7 and older are invited to attend.

Benefit Concert at Braham Event Center

Sunday, July 31: Nashville recording artist Tim Hadler and Minnesota native fiddle player Catrina Campbell will host a benefit concert for Gumi Camp USA from 2-5 p.m. at the Braham Event Center, 655 Eighth St. SW, Braham. No admission fee, but donations accepted. Refreshments available for purchase. Gumi Camp USA is a healing home for American veterans.

National Night Out Block Party at Common Ground

Tuesday, Aug. 2: A National Night Out Block Party at Common Ground: A United Methodist Community, will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Free food, fun and games. All welcome.
