Here it’s only July and according to the news media, pundits and some others I have talked to I’ve already wasted my vote no matter who I choose.
It’s inevitable during a presidential election year to have the question “who are you voting for” asked. If you tune into the news shows they will advise you that, voting for candidate A will help candidate B get elected, you should vote for Candidate B because they are the “lesser of two evils,” or don’t vote for Candidate C because they will never get elected.
The Democrat, Libertarian and Republican Candidates for President will be on the ballot in all 50 states and the Green Party will be on enough ballots to mathematically win enough electoral votes so there are options to choose from.
My thought is your vote is exactly that. Your vote. No one can tell you who to vote for and you can’t “waste” your vote if you are voting for the candidate that best matches your views and you believe in. The only thing I can tell you is to research the candidates, pick one, knock yourself out supporting them and vote this November.
