Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office and the Isanti County Law Enforcement Training Association, we would like to thank the Cub Foods Corporation and specifically the Cambridge, Minnesota Cub Foods for their continued support of Isanti County Law Enforcement through their donation of supplies for our recent training.

They donated supplies for our officers to use at the gun range during an enhanced firearm training event. Funding and budget issues sometimes make this enhanced training difficult to host this. It’s through support from our local Cub Foods and their employees that we are able to host this type of training and make our area all that much safer for our citizens by being able to train to a very high standard.

The Isanti County Law Enforcement Training Association is made up of training officers from the Sheriff’s Office, Cambridge, Braham and Isanti Police Departments. These trainers,  as a group, train all officers in Isanti County. It is a combined effort to reduce training costs by all of us training as a group and having more resources and knowledge to pull from to train area police officers. It also allows all of our area officers who go to critical calls together and are all trained in the same fashion know what to expect from each other in theses critical situation.
