
Patricia Mae Fridstrom, 84, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
She was born on March 18, 1932 to Earl and Vera (Becklin) Brown at the old Eric Becklin brick house. Pat was Baptized and confirmed at Cambridge Lutheran Church. She attended country school District #18 in Isanti County and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1950. Pat worked as a Northwestern Bell Telephone Operator from 1949 to 1963, when Cambridge went to dial conversion.
On September 20, 1953 she was united in marriage to Wendell Fridstrom at the Cambridge Lutheran Church. She would help to run the family business, Swede's Repair for over 45 years.
Pat was a lifetime member of Cambridge Lutheran Church and her mother's family were charter members of the church, spanning five generations. Pat was active in the Women's Groups and Circle, and was on the Archives Committee. She was District President on the St. Croix District Conference. She and Wendell lived a year and a half in Fort Hood, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul Brown, and sister Marjorie Strickland. Pat is survived by her husband of 62 years Wendell, children Jim and wife Kerry of Cambridge, Sue and husband Mark Fahrendorff of New Prague, grandchildren Molly Fridstrom, Isaac Fahrendorff, and Krissy Fahrendorff, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM, Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Cambridge Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
