Are you ready for a trip down memory lane? Do you remember watching the Lawrence Welk Show every Saturday night featuring a variety of music?
SAC’s Enrichment Center will be hosting an entertaining variety show-dinner theater, “Act III: The Lawrence Welk Show,” on May 13 and 14. Spectacular local talent, along with a delicious home-cooked meal will make this an event you won’t wanna miss.
The variety show, hosted by Lawrence Welk and the Champagne Lady, will include multiple acts featuring local talent such as the East Central Minnesota Grad Band, the Prime Time Singers, Kenny Krona and Don Deye. Our home-cooked meal, served by SAC’s staff, will consist of beef stroganoff over noodles with all the trimmings—relishes, bread, salad, cheesecake with strawberries, punch, and coffee. The décor will be a reminder of the successful and fondly-remembered show with bubbles and other unique memorabilia. This exciting event will take place in the City Center Mall next to SAC’s Enrichment Center.
On Friday, May 13, the dinner theater starts at 6 p.m. and on Saturday, May 14, the matinee theater commences at noon. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at SAC’s during business hours on Monday through Thursday or by calling 763-689-6555. There is limited seating, so tickets must be purchased in advance.

• Act III: The Lawrence Welk Show. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and must be purchased in advance by calling 763-689-6555. Fundraiser for senior programming at SAC’s.
Saturday, May 14:

SAC’s Travels – May and June
• Wednesday, May 23: Omni theater National Parks Adventure at the Science Museum in St. Paul and the Minnesota History Center. We will leave at 9:30 a.m. and return in the late afternoon. Call 763-689-6555 to sign up.
• Thursday, June 23: Let’s Go to a Twins Game. Game starts at 12:10 p.m. We will leave the Center at 11 a.m. and return by 5 p.m. Call to get your seat reserved.
• Thursday, June 30: Midwestcountry in Sandstone will present Terry Lee Goffee – A Tribute to Johnny Cash on June 30. Showtime is at 2 p.m. and ticket cost is $20. We will leave around 12:30 p.m. from the Center, go to show, eat at Casino, and then return around 6 p.m. Look for more details in the June Newsletter.
