Bluejackets 1-2 in home tennis matches

The Cambridge-Isanti boys tennis put together its best match of the season while defeating Big Lake at home 6-1 on April 23. Devin Gislason (6-2, 6-1), Sebastian Curtis (7-5, 6-3) and Zach Kosel (6-3, 6-0) all won their singles matches, with Jed Bingham fighting hard against the Hornets’ No. 1. Earning doubles victories for C-I were Jay Gislason & Romeo Mork (5-7, 6-4, 6-2), David Knutson & Ethan Roddy (6-3, 6-2) and Colton Halstensgard & Rigo Mork (6-2, 6-3).

The Bluejackets hosted the Chisago Lakes buzz saw of a deep singles lineup April 21, and the Wildcats swept for a 7-0 M-8 win.

On April 20, the Bluejackets and St. Michael-Albertville finished their rain-delayed match, with the Knights sneaking out a 4-3 victory. Bingham and Kosel pulled out singles win, with Roddy & Curtis winning at No. 3 Doubles.
