American Red Cross Blood Drive

Thursday, April 21: An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Anytime Fitness, 120 Heritage Drive NE, Suite 8, Isanti. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information.

Isanti Community Blood Drive

Thursday, April 21: The next Isanti Community Blood Drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at the Isanti Community Center. Your help is needed now to save lives in our community. Isanti County Junior Master Gardener’s Orientation

Thursday, April 21: All children in third- through sixth-grade are welcome to join. The group meets to learn about gardening taught by certified University of Minnesota Master Gardeners. They will be growing produce at the Cambridge Community Garden. Lots of fun activities are planned for this coming year, come hear about them. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Isanti County Government Center in Cambridge.

Life Drawing Session

Friday, April 22: Life Drawing (with a live model) is back at Cambridge Center for the Arts, 140 Buchanan St. N., inside City Center Mall. Don’t miss this chance to tune up your drawing skills and enjoy a relaxed environment with other artists from 9 a.m. to noon. There is no instruction. Fees pay the model. iPhone-ography Class

Saturday, April 23: An iPhone-ography class will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dee Kotaska, award-winning photographer, teaches you photographic features on your iPhone/iPad that you are probably unaware of in the first section of this class. After a one-hour lunch break, the afternoon portion teaches you how to manipulate your photos into artistic creations. Load the following apps before class: juxtaposer, snapseed, photogene and image blender. Bring your iPad/iPhone fully charged. Sorry, no droids. Registration in advance is necessary. Spaghetti Dinner at Fish Lake Lutheran Church

Saturday, April 23: All are welcome to the annual Spaghetti Dinner at Fish Lake Lutheran Church, Stark, from 4-7 p.m. Let their youth serve you for an evening of fine food and fellowship. Tickets are $8/adult and $5/age 10 and under. Proceeds go toward helping youth go on a mission trip to Philadelphia. Church is at 43353 Cedarcrest Trail, Harris.

Free Move at Braham Event Center

Sunday, April 24: “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” will be shown at 2 p.m. at the Braham Event Center. The movie is free, but donations appreciated. Snacks will be sold by Event Center volunteers.

Sons of Norway

Tuesday, April 26: All are welcome to join at the Isanti County Heritage Center at 7 p.m. for an evening with Tammy Hendricks and Amy Shaw. They will share the recently discovered music of Ole Hendricks. Ole Hendricks was an Isanti County farmer, gifted fiddle player, and composer. His music has been performed at Nisswa-Stammen and his fiddle is on display at the Vesterheim Museum. Tammy Hendricks is a descendant of Ole Hendricks. Shaw is a music researcher from Saint Catherine’s University.

Open Studio

Wednesday, April 27: Join fellow artists in a non-competitive, relaxed atmosphere to work on your own art with your own supplies from 9 a.m. to noon. No instruction. All mediums are welcome. If using oils, use odorless turpentine and bring a table cover. Snacks welcome. This is a great way to meet other artists. No registration necessary. No charge. Annual Salad Buffet Luncheon

Wednesday, April 27: Common Ground: A United Methodist Community, 404 Cypress St. N., will be having their 37th annual Salad Buffet Luncheon, which finances camp scholarships and outreach ministries, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance or $8 at the door. Children three and younger are free. Advance tickets are available for purchase at the Common Ground office Monday through Friday through April 26 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. You can come in or call them at 763-689-2071.

Senior Dance

Wednesday, April 27: SAC’s Enrichment Center will host a senior dance from 1-4 p.m. with music by Marie and the Boys at City Center Mall, 140 N. Buchanan St., Cambridge. Cost is $8 that includes lunch. Call 763-689-6555 with questions.

Writers Group

Wednesday, April 27: Writers Group is open to all writers of all levels. This group meets regularly at 6:30 p.m. every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at Cambridge Center for the Arts, 140 Buchanan St. N., City Center Mall. barb.ccfa.writers@gmail.com or 763-552-0320.

Fundraiser for Li’l Farm Children’s Home

Friday, April 29: Come and enjoy a Swedish Meatball Dinner from 5-8 p.m. at the former American Jane’s Grill and Bar, 200 Second Ave. SE, Cambridge. Besides dinner, the evening will include a Silent Auction and Raffles starting at 5 p.m., along with a Live Auction and Pie Bidding Challenge starting at 6:30 p.m. Adults, $10; Children, 6-16 $6; and kids 5 and under are free. All proceeds benefit the Li’l Farm Children’s Home, which provides a temporary home to children who need a welcoming and loving environment.
