As the audience files in, they will be greeted by a large, ornate urn placed in the center of the bar. The not so grieving congregation-audience are there to eulogize this womanizing, cheating weasel and notorious business man.  When the owner of “Nasty Irish Whisky,” dies in a mysterious car crash, speculations arise; was it suicide, an accident or was Nasty a victim of foul play? If so, could it have been his greedy, ex-wife Merry, mother of his six children, played by Gail Kulick of Milaca? Or his saucy, young wife Bailey, of only two weeks, played by Abbey Oelke of St. Cloud? Could it have been his best friend and business partner Donavan, played by Roger Gerdin of Milaca? Even the officiating Deacon Ryan O’Brien is a suspect, played by Hunter Goldsmith of St. Cloud.

The audience members may choose to become involved, eulogizing this ‘Nasty’ scoundrel by reading one of 16 eulogies which contain the clues to the mystery. Just prior to the end of the play, the audience weighs in and votes on whom they feel is responsible for Jamison’s Death. Of those that choose the correct murder, some of them win prizes.

Audience members will also be involved with crazy toasts to the deceased, singing favorite Irish songs, perhaps some dancing. All of this will add to this hilarious, unique, murder mystery the entire audience is sure to enjoy.

The play is directed by Tyler Haugen of Milaca, a recent graduate of St. Cloud State University and his stage direction is made possible through a contribution by “Mille Lacs Area Players” of Milaca. The production is sponsored by KBEK Radio 95.5 FM.
